Chimay to Charleroi
As some of you might have noticed, I forgot to write this post last night. I think this is a good representation of where we are right now.
This was our last day biking of the trip. Thankfully the cycling gods were in our favor and the ride was a gentle down hill next to a river all the way from Chimay to Charleroi.
As we got closer to Charleroi we got to fully experience what BBC called in 2018 “the ugliest city in the world” due to the abandon metal factories all around Charleroi. The sky was a bit gray and honestly it gave a pretty cool post apocalyptic vibe to the area which was fun.
We are all looking forward to taking the train tomorrow to Brussel and spending the whole afternoon at the hotel spa before flying back to the US on Sunday.
