Orval to Bouillon

Today is officially half way! In terms of days at least.

We visited the Orval abbey in the morning before starting our last short ride of the trip. Even if the ride was “short” it consisted of a lot of hills, elevation and a not so great 7k “gravel” road. We are all definitely feeling the up level of difficulty compared to last year, but we’re half way there right?

We are staying in Bouillon for the night which is a lovely small medieval town. Tomorrow is going to be the day with the most elevation and it might drizzle during the day, but as a wise man (Matt) once said “if we wanted this trip to be easy, we wouldn’t be biking all the way”. It’s probably gonna be the hardest day anyway and it’s smooth sailing afterwards right ?
